My name is Capper and I have an addiction to hoarding Petz
Hi Capper
I'm 25 and am a self employed dog trainer. I deal mostly with trained dog sales to the Police and General Public. On the weekends I work with a friend at our joint business; a pet show group that brings exotic animals into peoples homes for birthday parties or other events. In my free time I like to draw badly, read bad books, write bad fanfictions and watch bad tv shows. I'm owned by three dogs; A Belgian Malinois named Cru, A Border Collie-Labrador cross named Leonidas and a overweight English Bulldog-Boston Terrier mix named Bentley.
In addition to hoarding virtual petz I also hoard animals in real life (not literally but everyone joking says so). I've managed to squeeze the following into my townhouse
1 Chameleon named Joseph (coat of many colours, get it? I'm so good at names)
1 Axolotl named Petyr
1 Bearded Dragon named D'artagnan
1 Uromastyx named Corn Dog
1 Ball Python named Milkwood
1 Scorpion named Berserker
1 African Pygmy Frog named Buddah
2 Corn Snakes who are yet unnamed (Recent rescues from someone that kept them together in a 20 gallon tank)
2 Tortoises named Eric & Godric (I'm such True Blood Trash)
1 Tarantula named Infinity
2 Ferrets named Jayne Hobb & Daryl Dookson (so many play-on words. Practically nobody ever gets the references)
2 Hedgehogs named Sonic & Tails
1 Chinchilla named Chim-Chin-Cheree or just Cherry for short
3 Betta Fish (all Craigslist Rescues from bad situations)
2 10 Gallon Fishtanks filled with Tropical Fish + 1 Betta each
1 20 Gallon that houses a breeding pair of Jack Dempsey's (They are in desperate need of new housing I know)
2 cats named Hatchiko and Crazy Otto
100 something Hissing Cockroaches + 1000 odd Crickets (For breeding and feeding purposes for my reptilians <3)
No birds because I hate them. I'm also hoping to get another pair of rats in the coming months depending on how busy my work schedule looks. I usually tame feeders that haven't been handled much so there's always a bunch of time you need to dedicate to that. In an ideal world I wouldn't have so many of the small furred animals but with my job being what it is there are certain creatures we just need to have because they are good party martial. Plus my friend deals mostly with the more exotic pets like Skunks and Foxes that I definably can't keep in the city so it's a fair tradeoff. For what it's the worth the most popular animals in our routines are usually the Tarantula, Scorpion and Cockroaches so I think I come out the winner in the end. Sure everyone wants to pet the Fox but it's the creepy-crawlies that really rile them up. I can't take credit for any of my small animals being as good natured as they and easy to handle as they are though. Apart from the Dogs, Cats, Ferrets, Torts and the Beardie who I raised from very young the rest are all recent additions within the last year that I bought mostly off Craigslist to expand the work menagerie so we could switch out which animals were used in shows every weekend. All of them had amazing owners at one time that got them used to being handled manhandled by multiple children.
Wow this is turning out superlong. I'll just shutup now. Here's a cute picture of my dogs Bentley and Leonidas before I go
